Travel Clinic
Travel Immunisations
If you are planning to travel and need advice or vaccinations, please book a telephone consultation with one of our practice nurses who will advise you on the next steps. Please ensure you allow at least 6 weeks before travelling to have your travel consultation.
Please note that we no longer offer Yellow Fever at our practice.
These vaccines are currently offered for free on the NHS:
- Cholera
- Diptheria, Tetanus and Pertussis (DTP)
- Typhoid
- Hepatitis A
There is a charge for the following vaccines:
- Hepatitis B
- Rabies
- Meningitis ACWY
Read the latest health advice for the country you're travelling to on the Fit for Travel website and NaTHNaC, and check the travel safety updates with the Foreign & Commonwealth Office.
Prepare a kit of travel health essentials, including sunscreen, painkillers, antiseptic, insect repellent and anti-diarrhoea pills. These will be useful wherever you're going.
Sexual health experts advise taking condoms with you to avoid the risk of buying fake brands, which may be unsafe, when you get there.
